November 12, 2022 Update
As you know, this Sunday is our Family Business Meeting at 4pm. Below is new information about what to expect at the meeting and for the voting process.
Voting for the budget and constitution is a verbal vote as a group while the appointment of Lead Pastor Jonathan Pafford will be conducted by paper ballot. Appointment of a new lead pastor requires agreement by at least 75% of our members so the vote has to be conducted using a process that is more precise than a verbal vote.
What to expect during our meeting:
When you arrive, please enter through the front doors and proceed through the lobby, where members of Crossover who have signed the membership covenant will be checked in and receive an envelope with your ballot(s) inside. Families will receive one envelope, which includes one ballot for each person in the family who is eligible to vote (members only, over the age of 16).
During the meeting, when the time comes, you'll be prompted to take out your ballots, cast your vote, fold your ballot, and place it in the basket that will pass in front of you.
In the back of the worship center, two elders will count the ballots and two other laymen will recount for verification while the meeting continues. Once the counting is complete and verified, the meeting will end shortly after the announcement of the results.
We're so looking forward to time with you this Sunday to celebrate all the Lord is doing in and through you, our Crossover family! This Sunday's meeting is a beautiful way to bring our year of transition to an end as we look forward to growing stronger together in 2023!

Where are we going?
We continue to be a church that exists to magnify the name of Jesus Christ and make disciples, strengthening and growing them into disciple-makers of their own to see our homes, our community and our world radically changed by the Gospel of grace.
The past few years have been marked by one unexpected change followed by another. We’re supposed to be abiding in The Vine which means we’re consistently growing - which also means we’re consistently changing. So, thanks for being faithful to embrace this season of change with faithfulness and prayer. We’re so grateful!
What are we inviting you to do? We’re inviting you to learn and live out our 6 Core Values:
Biblically-Based
Holy-Spirit Dependent
Connected in Prayer
Devoted in Service
Building Authentic Community
Engaging in Genuine Worship
We’re inviting you to join us on The Journey as a disciple who grows in their knowledge of God, begins making a difference, gets connected and grows stronger - and then you’re invited to be a disciple-maker by taking someone else through that same Journey when you’re through.

How do we get there?
This is an exciting time to be a part of Crossover! Why? Because God is at work in our midst in some new and amazing ways as we shift our leadership structure from being Senior Pastor led to being led by a team of elders which includes Jon Pafford and Matt Kaiser.
We’re laser-focused on the mission and vision God has given to us. Jon and Matt are sharing the pulpit and collaborating on the preaching ministry.
Don’t let constitutional changes freak you out - much of it is cleaning up typographical errors or adding more specific wording for clarity. But, a few of the changes make provision for the structure shift mentioned in Matt's video above.
Making sure our constitution accurately describes the shift to Crossover ministry led by a team of elders as well as the important distinction between the role of our previous Senior Pastor and that of our newly defined Lead Pastor. Its not just semantics! The roles are different in a few very important ways and you’re going to want to understand how and why we believe the Lord is leading us to make these changes.

Proposed Constitutional Updates
Members,
Thank you for taking the time to read through the proposed constitutional changes to ensure our constitution accurately describes the shift to Crossover ministry led by a team of elders, as well as the important distinction between the role of our previous Senior Pastor and that of our newly defined Lead Pastor. It's not just semantics! Three different types of changes are being considered for the vote on November 13th. The first is necessary grammatical (spelling and punctuation errors) and formatting changes in the document. The second is language changes to reflect modern usage. The third is the addition/deletion of sections and/or phrasing to the current constitution that bring doctrinal protection against any possible future legal challenges, better reflect who we are as a church, and define how we currently operate.

The following instructions will help explain the organization of these documents:
1) The complete portion of the current Constitution needing changes starts each section.
2) Portions under consideration for changes are highlighted in yellow.
3) Proposed changes are indented under the “Change To” heading.
Please take time to carefully read through each section, noting any questions or concerns that you may have. If you have questions, please contact one of the elders for more information and to discuss your concerns before the Family Business Meeting on November 13th. They would be glad to explain the changes to you.

Proposed 2023 Budget
Stewarding God's Resources For His Glory
This proposed budget is how we can partner with one another to do the work of the ministry and steward the resources the Lord provides. We want to thank you for your generosity and faithfulness. The Leadership Team, made up of elders and staff, have prayerfully established a budget for 2023 that fits with the mission and vision of Crossover.
